Introduction:
Clothianidin is an insecticide for effective control of sucking and chewing pests. It represents a new generation of insecticides known for their efficiency, and high selectivity. Clothianidin acts similarly to nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, exhibiting contact, stomach poisoning, and systemic activities. It is primarily used for controlling Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, and specific Lepidopteran pests. Clothianidin is used for controlling of aphids, leafhoppers, thrips, and plant hoppers on rice, vegetables, fruit trees, and other crops.
