Introduction:
Propiconazole is a triazole fungicide. It is a systemic with curative and protective action, works via the demethylation of C-14 during ergosterol biosynthesis fungicide. It offers a wide spectrum control of many major pathogens of cereals barley, corn, oats, rice, rye, wheat. It controls many diseases caused by leaf spots, rust and powdery mildews. It does not control diseases caused by Oomycetes (e.g. Pythium, downy mildews).
