Redistribution via the vapor phase contributes to its activity. It has excellent protectant activity for the control of scab on apples and pears and other fungal diseases on a wide range of crops. It inhibits mitochondrial respiration by blocking electron transfer between cytochrome b and cytochrome c1 at the ubiquinol oxidizing site.
