Introduction:
Fenvalerate is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide and acaricide used to control variety of pests, particularly those resistant to organochlorine, organophosphate, and carbamate insecticides. It acts non-systemically with contact and stomach action. Biochemically, it functions as a voltage-dependent sodium channel agonist. Its mode of action involves both contact and stomach activities. Fenvalerate is a powerful insecticide that is effective against a broad spectrum of pests, including Coleoptera, Diptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, and Orthoptera, on crops such as cotton, fruits, vegetables, and others.
