Introduction:
Indoxacarb is an insecticide used to control a wide range of pests including lepidopteran insects, weevils, beetles, and sucking pests found in different crops. It works by affecting pests through both contact and ingestion, functioning specifically as a blocker of voltage-dependent sodium channels. Indoxacarb also possesses ovicidal properties due to its ability to penetrate egg membranes, causing larval death after hatching and initial feeding. It is most effective against moth larvae during their early stages, making early foliar spraying from egg hatching to three days old larvae optimal for control.
