Introduction:
EPTC is a thiocarbamate herbicide used for the control of annual grassy weeds, perennial weeds, and some broadleaf weeds in beans, forage legumes, potatoes, corn, and sweet potatoes. It is a selective contact herbicide, absorbed more readily by the foliage (and especially the shoots) than by the roots, with very little translocation and inhibited lipid synthesis. EPTC is usually applied pre-emergence, that is, before weed seeds germinate, and is typically incorporated into the soil immediately after application, either mechanically or by overhead irrigation. Soybeans and cotton may be injured by contact with oxyfluorfen.

| Alfalfa and clover | annual and perennial grasses plus some broad-leaved weeds | 3 to 6 liters per hectare | Before planting mixed with soil |
