Introduction:
Clethodim is a systemic herbicide that is rapidly absorbed and readily translocated from treated foliage to the root system and growing parts of the plant. It inhibits fatty acid synthesis by inhibiting acetyl CoA carboxylase (ACCase). It is used to control annual and perennial grasses in sugar beet and other crops. Clethodim is effective against a variety of grasses, including Barnyardgrass, Brome, Canarygrass, Crabgrass, Foxtail, Goosegrass, Ryegrass.
