Introduction:
Basagran DP is a contact, systemic and post-emergence herbicide that is recommended to control broadleaf weeds in wheat fields. It contains 33.3% bentazone from the Benzothiazinone group and 23.3% Dichlorprop-P from the phenoxycarboxylic acid group. Bentazon is a selective and contact herbicide that is mainly absorbed through leaves and prevents photosynthesis by disrupting the function of photosystem II. Dichlorprop-P is a selective, systemic and hormonal herbicide that is absorbed through the leaves and transferred to the roots, acts like artificial auxins and disrupts the synthesis and function of indole acetic acid. This herbicide is only effective on green weeds and has no effect on weeds that turn green after spraying.
