It targets diseases like powdery mildew, rust, scab, brown blotch, and anthracnose, commonly caused by ascomycetes and basidiomycetes. Its mode of action involves inhibiting ergosterol biosynthesis, a crucial component of fungal membranes. Hexaconazole functions as a steroid demethylation inhibitor in biochemistry.
