Introduction:
Rovyona is a fungicide from the group of triazoles with a preventive and curative effect. Mefentrifluconazole is the first isopropanol-azole that was discovered and developed by BASF. This fungicide belongs to the subgroup of demethylation inhibitors (DMis), which inhibits the specific enzyme C1-demethylase. This enzyme plays a major role in the production of ergosterol. Rovyona effectively disrupts the biosynthesis of ergosterol and changes the cell membrane of the fungus, resulting in its death.
